Gospel Leaders Track

Church of the City believes leadership development and disciple making is an essential part of the Christian life and commission. We also recognize that in order to have leaders tomorrow we need to develop individuals today.

To begin this process of development, we introduce you to the Gospel Leaders Track or GLT.

The GLT is a 5-month program designed to instruct and assist followers of Jesus in applying the Gospel to all aspects of their individual and communal life. The course consists of two-hour, bi-weekly teaching & coaching sessions with a cohort of other learners, and online-based reading and writing assignments to be completed throughout independently.

Those who enrol will be expected to complete all assigned reading by the appropriate dates, to participate in online reflection and discussion posts, and to engage in the teaching & coaching sessions with honesty and humility. One textbook, Center Church, by Timothy Keller is required for the course, and is included in the price of attendance.

Teaching & coaching sessions take place bi-weekly on Saturday mornings beginning April 6th from 8am-10am at Hope House, downtown Guelph.

Our sessions consist of three elements: Building community, Thinking Theologically and Training in Ministry. Each of these elements are designed to train and assist you in applying what you have been studying independently.

The GLT is open to everyone, whether or not you have specific aspirations for lay or full-time ministry. This program will provide you with the foundation to be a gospel-centered leader, which may open the door to more leadership opportunities in the future.

Cost: $200 per person which includes a copy of “Center Church” by Timothy Keller.
